No idea why this happens to you. It works fine everywhere I try it. The attached image is so low resolution that I can't see much. What OS are you running it under? Are you running the binary download (for which OS, is it the latest version)? Try to click/unclick the "Lock" checkbox in the top right corner of the window. If you do not see it, then there is something wrong with the settings on your system. You might try to reinstall X2SW, or go to "File->X2 Profile Manager" and re-download default profiles for X2V3 printers. If you do not want to start with the default profiles then try to change the options under "Settings->options->User Interface".

I have downloaded and installed http://sourceforge.net/projects/x2sw/files/x2sw_win_1.2.0.1.exe under win10 (tried home and pro versions). The UI worked fine for me. Note that the installer and the pronterface UI have to be run "as administrator" and/or in "Windows XP sp2" compatibility mode (right click on the program or its shortcut and go to the properties->compatibility to set that). I doubt that that is going to affect the UI components though. Have you already tried to uninstall and install again, or to re-download the profile with the X2 Profiler? If that does not work the only other thing I can suggest is to install on a different computer and assuming it is a compatibility issue with some other software to try to find out what that other software might be. For the reference here's how I install it: 1. Download the x2sw_win_1.2.0.1.exe installer to the desktop; 2. Right click on the installer and on the the compatibility tab in the properties set "run as administrator" and set comptibility to "Windows XP SP2"; 3. Run the installer and install software and the driver (when asked chose to create desktop icon, launch after the install); 4. When app is launched after the install download and select X2V3 generic profile, and deploy it (I'm usually using "in-place" mode); 5. If a window pops up saying profile is not compatible, click "cancel" to mark it as compatible with the current version; 6. The pronterface UI should pop up after that, close it; 7. Right click on the pronterface icon on the desktop and change the compatibility to be the same as in step 2.

I can give you more information on the setup where it works, maybe you can compare it with yours and find what is different. Here's info for my Win 10 pro system: - Win 10 Version: 1151 - Win 10 OS build: 10586318 - Englis (US) is the primary language (no other languages installed) - I have Win 10 updates configured to install automatically, so it should be all up-to-date. In order to check DLL dependencies you can download the listdll tool from https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896656 - extract the listdll.exe to your desktop - start Pronterface UI - start command prompt "as administrator" - cd to %USERPROFILE%/Desktop - run 'listdll.exe pronterface' and capture the output - compare with http://www.okob.net/projects/reprap_x2v3/pronterface_deps.txt - if seeing any differences in DLL versions or paths where the DLL is located try to figure out where that different DLL might have come from. Short of installing to a different PC or in a virtual machine I do not see any other way of figuring out what went wrong and making it work for you.

It looks like you are using NVIDIA. You can try downloading and installing the latest video driver for that card from either your PC manufacturer or the NVIDIA web site.
