Hi All, The VD Image viewer v1.7a is available. URL: http://www.okob.net/projects/vdi/download.htm Thanks to everybody who made a donation, helped to identify bugs or made a suggestion. I apologize for a delay (I was planning to release a new version sometime in June), but moving and addition of a newborn daughter to my family took its tall to already tight schedule. I also apologize for any unanswered emails, sometimes useful mail gets dumped along with loads on unfiltered SPAM. Changes for v1.7a: 1. Added compression support. - based on ZLIB library v.1.1.4; - provides quite nice compression level for maps, diagrams (10-15 times) but not photos (3 times); - note that compression slows down image opening, requires memory space for decompressed image data and working buffers, therefore it only makes sense to use compression if you keep several images on your handheld; 2. Added converter support for opening VDIVC PDB-images. - you can now open PDB database files containing VDI images using the converter application (usually the files for installed on your handheld images can be found in the Palm desktop folder under “User\Backup” where “User” is a folder name generated for your sync user ID); 3. Added Handera 330 hi-res support. - this was tested with emulator only; - the graffiti area minimization is supported, but the screen rotation is not; - when graffiti area is minimized the standard forms (“Browse”, “Help” etc..) will not cover the whole image; - The VFS card symbol is not available in the Handera character set and therefore is replaced with the '#' charcter. 4. Added fast-zoom key. - the fast zoom key is "x" or "Select" (for Tungsten 5-way navigation buttons); - when viewing an image zoomed-out pressing the key zooms-in the image at the current position, pressing the key again zooms it out back; 5. Changed pen-handling mechanism. - v1.7a can coexist with graffiti anywhere enabled at least on Tungsten C; - graffiti consumes strokes therefore zoom-in/out gestures will not be recognized, but since gestures match to graffiti representation of letters “a” and “v” they will work for zooming in and out as long as you draw them on the left side of the screen (no precise positioning though); 6. Fixed TIFF unrecognized tag warning causing image opening error problem. - the converter app used to refuse to open TIFF files with tags it was unable to understand (will show warnings but still open such images from now on); Good Luck
