This is a great program but due to a failure of my Treo270, I will be forced to upgrade to a Treo650. Does VDI work with this model and can VDI read data from the memory card

Given that there were posts about problems with Treo 600 it is likely that it won't run on 650. The memory cards are supported on the standard Palm OS devices. If you get the 650 please try VDI and let me know the results.

I have tried the Treo 650 - I get the error message "No Bitmap loaded' - and a warning "Error loading bitmap data" - sometimes it reboots This is really disappointing - I have been searching for the perfect image viewer for quite a while and was quite happy that I found yours - it seemed to do the things I was looking for. Is this problem fixable? If not, do you have any recommendations of other image viewers that are as capable Thanks in advance - Charlie

After many attempts with VDIV with my Treo650 I could not stop the program from rebooting the Palm. So I relunctantly looked for a replacement. In the end I decided on Grxview - it has completely zoomable functionality and the program can be loaded on an SD card (along with its images). It was not free - I think it cost $15 dollars but given that this also included a card export program that allows you to upload to or download from the card I think it was a good buy

I do see that the old debug version of the app is rebooting Treo650 simulator. The new version that is in development now seem to have some problems with display color depth switching to 256 color mode but runs OK. Although this is a good sign it is not a guarantee that the new version is going to work on the real Treo650 hardware. If any of you guys is willing to volunteer to do a test run, post a note here and I'll send you a test version of the viewer (PRC file) to the e-mail you used to register on the forum.

Dear Denis I am happy to try it out on my Treo650 - it has had the file structure updated by the latest Treo upgrade and also has a memory card so we can see how it works with these Regards Wayne

I haven't had time to work on the app for a while, so the 1.8a is the latest one available. It should work on Treo650 though. Pls let me know if it doesn't.

Hi Danis: I use V1.81a to view subway maps. It works OK in the RAM. However, when run it on the SD card (/Palm/Launcher/) in my Cingular Treo650/1.17, it got one bug: When I browing a picture and press the Home bottom to back to launcher, it reset my Treo650. However, If I choose [File]-->[Close viewer] first, and then press Home, it does not rest my Treo. Thanks a lot for your time and attention!
