Thankyou for making this product and it seems to work very well.

I have two questions which likely showcase my ignorance on PDA programming!

1)Would it be possible to add more zoom capability? I am using a large map and it needs to be zoomed in a bit more than what is presently possible to read placenames etc.

2)Also, would it be possible to have it only utilize a small part of available RAM, not unlike video playback does for example? The limit to larger map usage seems to be the available RAM, not the available card storage.

If you could create something with infinite zoom values and an ability to show a 1 gig map file off a card, I would be happy to pay you for it!

The zooming code flexibility is limited by speed
constrains. The current code zooms in max to the
scale of  the converted picture. Doing more
means adding more code slowing down the drawing
(which might be Ok for new devices but is not
acceptable for the old ones).  Besides that zooming
in to more that 1x1 scale without involving complex
algorithms doesn't buy you much since the picture
does not really have more information in it.

You can try to rescale the original picture to be slightly
bigger using your desktop software, although it
might be a problem if the picture you have is already
large. It is probably a good idea to make it possible in
the VDI coverter to rescale to 120%-140%.

As for the 1gb images (assuming you have storage for
them) I do not see any other way but present them in
pieces.
